Gas theft: Former MNA flees after bail denied

Bhatti was found guilty of gas theft after investigation of three cases of gas theft.

LAHORE: Former national assembly member Mehdi Hassan Bhatti fled the courtroom on Tuesday after the Lahore High Court rejected his bail petition in a gas theft case.

An investigation officer said that Bhatti was running his CNG station on Sheikhupura Road on stolen gas, he said.

Bhatti was found guilty of gas theft after investigation of three cases of gas theft. He requested the court to dismiss the bail application.

The court dismissed the bail application after which Bhatti fled.

No wonder the politicians in Pakistan has such a bad reputation and justifiably so. Perhaps the people deserve people like him because they sent him to the NA where he amassed wealth by crooked ways. When would this nation ever wake up.
