LAHORE: Extremist activities within Pakistan are not “jihad” says Hafiz Saeed, chief of the banned group Jamaat-ud-Dawa said on Monday, Press Trust of India reported.

In his “fatwa” against the attacks, Saeed said militants should not carry out attacks in the country.

“Militant activities in Pakistan do not fall in the category of jihad. I appeal to all jihadi organisations not to carry out attacks inside Pakistan as it is not jihad (holy war). America and India are taking benefit from their activities.”

Saeed who is alleged to be responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks issued the statement in response to the attacks in Quetta. The attacks killed as many as 25 people was claimed by the banned militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and the Balochistan Liberation Army.

On Saturday, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s residency in Ziarat was destroyed in an attack by the BLA. A policeman who was deployed at the residency was killed.

Hours later, a bus carrying female university students was blown up and a subsequent attack was carried out at the hospital where the injured passengers were taken. Altogether 25 people were killed, including 14 women students and four nurses.

Saeed though asserted that a conspiracy was being hatched by India and US against Pakistan.

“They want infighting among different schools of thought to achieve their vested interest,” Saeed said.

He claimed that efforts were being made to set everyone against his party, Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD).

“Our strength is in unity and not in infighting among us. However, Muslims will have to continue jihad to maintain their freedom,” concluded Saeed.

Then you also know who are the agents of those ‘Indian and US’ conspirators who are carrying out such cowardly and criminal activities in Pakistan – in which more than 40,000 innocent Pakistanis have lost their lives so far. It is you and your brethren, hence you are conspiring against Pakistan and you are one of such agents.Recommend

It’s worth noting here that the BLA was not responsible for the attacks carried out in Quetta (that included the bomb on the bus and the attempt to hijack the Bolan hospital) as ET seems to be implying here. According to all other news sources, these attacks were carried out exclusively by the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. However it was the BLA which destroyed the Ziarat residency. Though many would consider it all the same, it is important to differentiate between the type of targets that these militant organizations are choosing.

And yes, India did shine back in the last decade.

If you have close to 9% growth rate, with warts and all, you still call it shine which didn’t last long. Had it lasted, we would be closer in eliminating problems of hunger and poverty.
But, the fun in schadeunfradue is not going last long.

There is no doubt that BLA & LeJ are both Indian sponsored orgs.
Shame on such a spineless govt to do nothing against these attacks except talking of negotiations with these thugs.
This is where Musharraf was the strongest always ahead of everyone to defend his motherland, even the Indian media was wary of speaking against him when he was himself there

First do jihad against your own ill-wishes and corrupt conscience and cleanse yourselves from all evil .. this is the most desired and foremost type of Jihad. Violence comes last and even that is not relevant in this age. There are more potent, peaceful and admirable ways of defending religion.

The only long lasting peaceful solution to South Asia is constituting multiple countries out of Pakistan.

Baloch want a different country. There are other groups who want different forms of governments and different nation states within Pakistan.

Their wishes are genuine and it should be entertained.

And isn’t it all the more amazing that the Pakistanis just believe in this stupidity without demanding evidence? Do you all guys believe that the threesome are so intelligent?

as far as US is concerned when they announced 10M USD over HS head then why on challenging they disowned their statement and didnt arrest him, why there is no interpol involved.

Because there is no solid ground where India can arrest him, you are just scared of your brutal acts in Kashmir, where HS want accountability. SIMPLE!

Jihad is commonly misunderstood as “Holy War”, Jihad means “to struggle”
The “greater jihad” is the inner struggle by a believer to fulfill his religious duties
The “lesser jihad” is the physical struggle against the enemies of Islam. This physical struggle can take a violent form or a non-violent form.

I’m sorry, but I simply cannot understand your childishness.

Your country was involved in Mumbai attacks. Or don’t you still believe it like most Pakistanis.

Your country is facing attacks, because it is your own doing. Why should your media blame India for what is Sunni muslims killing Sunni muslims in Pakistan?

I think India should seriously consider sending elementary school teachers, to teach Pakistanis some logic.

Pakistan usually accused India for their interference in Balouchistan, which is evident, and Ex Premier Gen. Musharaff shut your reporters once by naming Bramdad and RAW relationship,

What is happening in balouchistan is not all Shia Sunni, that is funded and Sponsered terrorism against Pakistan and so the story leads to Natural resources there.

So, please go and study first and open your eyes, melt your hearts for Kashmir then question anyone.
