Timely action: Police seize large quantity of weapons

The arms were being transported to Karachi for terrorist activities.

SUKKUR: The excise police seized a large quantity of arms and ammunition from a Karachi-bound passenger coach at Dera Morr on Sunday.

Police has arrested three men, including the driver, and filed a case against them at the Guddu police station. The seized arms and ammunition included 52 hand grenades, two rocket launchers, 50 hand grenade pins, 40 detonators, two sets of walkie talkie, 16 rocket launcher shells, one remote control and two suicide jackets, Kashmore SSP Umer Salamat told The Express Tribune.

The arms were being transported to Karachi for terrorist activities and the timely action by the excise police saved the day, said excise inspector, Shamsuddin Chachar.
