Health Regulatory Authority (HRA) officials sealed unregistered clinical laboratories and other diagnostic units in Mardan during a crackdown on Sunday.

Chairman of the HRA Muzzafar Khan said that in order to provide standard health facilities to the public such centres had to be shut down. Assistant Commissioner Mardan Shahab Khan carried out raids at different medical centers and laboratories in the city to ask for their registration documents.

Khan added the team sealed the labour room of Gul Medical Centre, operation theater of Sheikh Yaseen Medical Centre, as well as Al-Shifa Digital X-Ray and Waqas X-Ray.

“Notices have been issued to doctors to get their laboratories and other medical units registered within the next 15 days,” said Khan.
