LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday directed a woman seeking an FIR for theft, to approach the police. Nabeela Bibi filed a petition stating that after the engagement ceremony of her daughter at a rented room in the Kot Lakhpat area, gifts that her daughter’s future in-laws had brought, including a gold ring, four dresses and two pair of shoes had gone missing. She said that when she had asked the landlady, Kausar Bibi about it, she threatened to implicate her in false cases. The judge disposed of the petition directing Nabeela Bibi to approach the police first and move a court only if the police refused to help her.
