Sworn in: Three permanent PHC judges take oath

PESHAWAR:


Three new judges of the Peshawar High Court (PHC), who were granted permanent status by President Asif Ali Zardari four days ago, took oath on Friday.


PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan administered the oaths to Justice Nasir Hussain, Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth and Justice Qaiser Rashid.

Held at PHC Court Room No 1, the event was attended by PHC Registrar Subhan Sher, Personal Staff Officer of the chief justice Sufai Waqar and PHC Bar Association President Ishtaiq Ibrahim, while other judges, deputy attorney general and court officials were also present.

Justice Khan, along with other participants, congratulated the judges, who were made additional judges on August 2, 2011 for one year and given a year-long extension last year.
