Security concerns: Five jail inmates sent to rural Sindh

Jail officials say there were reports of an attack by terrorists on Karachi Central Prison to get them released.

KARACHI: Five prisoners belonging to banned organisations, including Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, were shifted to prisons in rural Sindh due to security reasons.

The jail officials said that the decision has been taken following reports of a possible attack by terrorist outfits on Karachi Central Prison to get them released. Those shifted include Muhammad Abdullah alias Taimur, Waseem Barodi, Hafiz Qasim Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Shafiq alias Bashir and Inamullah.
