ISLAMABAD: The newly appointed Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Munir Malik on Monday assured Chief Justice of Pakistan his full support, saying that he believed that original jurisdiction of the SC under article 184(3) is not adversary jurisdiction.

“My endeavour will be to assist the court for realization of the fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution,” said Malik, adding he will not defend any unconstitutional acts.

Munir Malik was having an informal chat with the chief justice on his first day of appearing in the court as AGP. Justice Chaudhry felicitated him for accepting the assignment and hoped he would work for the supremacy of constitution and law as he was known for his open views.
