PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Advocate Qazi Muhammad Anwar on Monday said vacant posts for law officers at the Advocate General (AG) office Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa would be filled purely on the basis of merit and without political influence.

Talking to media personnel at the Peshawar High Court premises, Anwar said a board will be constituted with him at its helm and the law secretary as its secretary. It will decide the names for law officers after consultations with senior lawyers, he added.

Lawyers will soon be asked to submit applications, Anwar said.
