So why dont they leave then? Who's stopping them?
As an overseas Pakistani, I can tell you that yes, we are treated very poorly, esp for what we are doing for our home country. Pakistan would be bankrupt without the hard working overseas Pakistani. Sadly, the worst treatment is reserved for the low-skilled hardworking overseas Pakistanis who go to the Middle East. They are treated poorly in countries they are living in and their home country. Immigrants to western countries, like myself, at least are treated well in the country we live in. The Govt should give special emphasis to make the lives of the low skilled overseas Pakistani better because these people are really the lifeblood of Pakistan and are the primary contributors to the remittances pool. Most of the western immigrants over time bring their families where they have immigrated to and contribute less to remittances.
Look at the contributions of overseas Pakistanis towards our economy! Thank you! & unfortunately the state doesn't provide them with the facilities they need..They are not even given the passports!
Despite the fact that Overseas Pakistanis sent home US Dollars 12.762 billion in 11 months, but no timely arrangements were made by ECP for them to cast their votes on May 11, 2013 election.
