Two bodies were recovered from the Bin Qasim area, while unidentified armed men attacked a car in Nazimabad, leaving one dead.
The ongoing violence in the restive Lyari also claimed two lives.
Lyari unrest
As the wave of violence in parts of Lyari continues for the third day, armed rival groups in the area hurled 10 hand grenades on Monday.
Residents have been confined to their houses because of the intense violence, while the battle between the opponents left two dead and six injured.
Criminal elements have reportedly set up check posts on the top of the houses and have deployed machine guns.
The gang members are communicating through walkie-talkies to coordinate attacks.
Police and Rangers personnel are unable to enter the area.
On June 8, a clash broke out between Kutchi Rabita Committee (KRC) and a rival group shortly after a young man, Arif Baloch, was killed and his friend was injured in Kalri.

classical slap on the dg rangers who claimed lyari is peaceful and there is no no-go area in lyari. He must resign!! Typical of people who still thinks its MQM fault. I will advise mqm, leave it alone..Let ppp(p) handle this. Since they are in full power in sindh, they better do their job and answer people of Sindh.
@Karachiite: So basically you have no problem with the Liyari killings but what problem you really have is PTI standing against MQM's violent and criminal beahavior! Please keep your grudges apart and for once actually think for Karachi!

Please ET! get some guts. You bravely mentioned Kutchi Rabita Committe(KRC) but did not mention the name of rival group. Which is Peoples Amn Committe (PAC).
@abcd: eliminate MQM, and everything will be fine
@SHAH: so if KPK is bleeding than is it an excuse for the Karachi leaders. think Pakistani and stop supporting the culprits
@Wah: Then Again, it is still PPP's govt and their thugs.
@bilal: It is PPP's government. And their thugs. Why will MQM resign?
@MH: Well that happens in lahore too!
@Wah: Yeah but PTI just came into power! Those who claim an 85% mandate in Karachi must resign if they are so inept and incompetent.
It does not matter PTI just came in power with an OLD AND EXPERIENCED CHIEF MINISTER HAS BEEN PART OF ALL THE MAJOR POLITICAL PARTY, so he has the absolute power to maintain law and order situation in KPK and he should be ask for resignation since KPK is bleeding....we are waiting PTI dharna at Cheel Chowk Liyari in front of PAC (Amn Committee) and lets see if they have dare to do that practically or they are just social media party.
@bilal: What MQM phobia you have and in this case Sindh government is responsible for law and order come out from MQM phobia and PTI should stage dharna in Liyari for peace then we will know PTI can actually thrive here. get a life man
Eliminating Aman Committee is the only way to bring peace in Karachi. Drug war gangsters should be arrested and tried for kidnapping, extortion and murder. All banned outfits should be targetted in a full-fledge operation
@Khan Sahib: Define Karachite and a Foreigner in Karachi?. Also many people from Peshawar live in Lahore and enjoy but Biased eyes like yours will never see that.
This wave of violence is spreading in the whole city as the fire spreads in forest. Better crush this wave or be ready to face the nightmare.
@SHAH: Yeah but PTI just came into power! Those who claim an 85% mandate in Karachi must resign if they are so inept and incompetent.
lets talk about Indian bjp
Parents and brother got robbed at gunpoint not too long ago on Dalmia Road. Be careful, Karachi. Watching these incidents spread out of Lyari across different parts of the city is a tad bit unnerving.
@bilal: KPK is also bleeding, when will you ask a resignation from PTI. DG Rangers are responsible for all these blood shed. He is the one who mis guide CJ on lyari situation.
I think the best thing to do with Karachi is to leave it to its own people. No Army, No Rangers and No Foreigners' Police men and women. Give it its right to govern and let it progress and surely Karachi is for Karachiites only not for all Pakistan. Just as Lahore is for Lahori not for Peshawari.
I think it is the beginning of the end lyari crisis. Hope for the best
Who will make Karachi peaceful?
Karachi is bleeding and no resignations from MQM or PPP. shame on all the people who supported.
"Police and Rangers personnel are unable to enter the area."....
Wow I always thought Khrachi is a part of Pakistan, isn't????
and when PTI going to sit in protest on this situation
If they want to fight then allow innocent people to leave that area, and deploy SSG Special Services Group there you will see the result in 5 hours.
Karachi should be handed over to Army as there are many internal and external anti-Pakistan elements are playing with the lives of innocent peopler of Karachi. Army must take action against these elements without any political-discrimination
Just few months back DG Rangers told Supreme Court that lyari is a peaceful area and not a NO GO Area yet they can't enter into this peaceful Non NOGO Area.
