Grisly violence: Five bodies found in Kalat, Khuzdar

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the killings.

Even as the new chief minister vowed to put an end to targeted violence and extrajudicial killings in the province, five bodies were found dumped in different parts of the province on Sunday. Elsewhere at least two persons were killed in other violence.


In the first incident, Balochistan Levies personnel recovered three bodies from the Narmuk area of Kalat district. The bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital where medics said the men were killed 10 to 15 days ago. The bodies of the men identified as Raja Khan, Anwar and Mehrab – were handed over to their relatives after medico-legal formalities.


Separately, police found two bullet-riddled bodies dumped along a roadside in Khuzdar district. The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital where one of them was identified as Dad Mohammad, a resident of Naushki district.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the killings. Police registered cases and started investigation.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed and as many injured in a drive-by shooting in Loralai district on Sunday. According to police, gunmen riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire in the Pathanok area of Loralai. As a result, two persons were killed and as many injured.
