Football: Sindh thrash Gilgit-Baltistan

Sindh thrashed Gilgit-Baltistan 7-1 as the National U16 Football Championship continued at the Kunj Stadium in Abbottabad yesterday.

Muneer Ahmed opened the scoring for Sindh with a goal in the 12th minute and added another in the 40th. Mohammad Safeer found the net in the 45th minute as Sindh dominated the encounter. Muneer completed his hat-trick with a 70th-minute strike, while Safeer hit his second in the 89th minute. Gilgit-Baltistan’s solitary goal came through Muhammad Kashif in the 28th minute.

In another match, Punjab played out a goalless draw against hosts Abbottabad.
