Farid Khan Murder: Food shortage as curfew enters day four

HANGU: As the curfew imposed in Hangu entered its fourth consecutive day on Thursday an acute food shortage was created in the district, adding to the woes of the people.

Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Tahir Zafar told reporters, since there was a ban on private vehicles from entering the city a dire food shortage has been created in the area. Other edible items, available in the district, have started rotting due to the scorching heat. Apart from the entry of private vehicles, Zafar said a ban on pillion riding was also imposed and policemen were asked to patrol the city to avoid any untoward incident.
