Domestic dispute: Stepsons injure woman constable

SUKKUR: A woman constable was injured by her stepsons near the municipal office in Jacobabad on Thursday.

Bakhtwar, wife of Subhan Jakhrani, and her two sons, Zulfikar and Ghulam Shabbir, were on their way home from the civil court when Zahid and Zafarullah opened fire on her. The assailants were captured by their half-brothers and handed over to the Civil Lines police. Bakhtwar was later shifted to the Civil Hospital. Talking to the media, Bakhtwar said that she married Jakhrani, who also had two sons from the previous marriage, after her first husband died. She said she divorced Jakhrani three years back and alleged that he had been trying to kill her since then.
