I secured a new job 3 months ago and now find myself in a quandary as it will be impossible for me to retake the exam.
FAISALABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has decided to retake the CSS examination of students from Faisalabad. It is important to note that the CSS examination is usually taken by professionals after graduation. A gap of 15 months between the final result and the examination means that a candidate can hardly ignore his/her professional career and financial responsibilities during this time and usually takes on a job until the results are in. There are also candidates who work abroad but come to Pakistan to sit for this exam.
However, in an unfortunate move by the FPSC and in an attempt to save itself and the culprits who were involved in the corruption that took place in the CSS exams that took place earlier in the year, it has decided to retake the examination. This move has come as a disaster for most professionals like me, who are working in the private sector. I secured a new job three months ago and now find myself in a quandary as it will be impossible for me to retake the exam due to my professional, financial and family responsibilities. Why doesn’t the FPSC let the FIA complete its investigation rather than administering the examination again for candidates from Faisalabad?
