Earlier on June 3, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leader Javed Hashmi submitted his nomination papers for the post.
Newly-elected members of the National Assembly will vote for the future prime minister in the parliamentary session on June 5.
The oath-taking ceremony of the new premier will take place at 5pm that day.
The nomination papers of Nawaz, Hashmi and PPP candidate Makhdoom Amin Fahim were accepted.
Cabinet
A small cabinet of the incoming prime minister is also likely to take oath with Nawaz.
The PML-N chief will first fill the key ministries with his core team, but he will try to compose a cabinet of less than two dozen ministers, PML-N sources said.
Amidst hectic lobbying for cabinet slots, Nawaz is keeping cards close to his chest. He might be challenged by the task of accommodating all provinces in the cabinet since most PML-N members come from Punjab.
Though many names have been circulating in the corridors of power for aspirants of cabinet slots, PML-N insiders say these are mere speculations: the likely ministers in the first phase include Ishaq Dar for the finance portfolio, Khawaja Asif for water and power.

@Saleem: Dear Mr Ssleem, Mr Nawaz Sharif will, most probably, not reed this comment. Brgds.
Dear Mr. Nawaz Sharif, First of all , congratulations on another tenure as Prime minister. I wanted to request you on this new job. As we know that our country is plagued with corruption. You can buy lawyers, judges , legal system , media anchors , street goons or anyone on money. Then this corruption breeds within society, we can buy these people for gaining power and then use that power to gain more money. Use larger sacks to buy more influence , get more power and multiply the returns and the cycle continues. Unfortunately I have become wary of any hope of change or justice in this society. My humble request to you is to move your billions sitting outside Pakistan within the country. Those billions once invested in industry within the country will ATLEAST generate jobs inside Pakistan instead of UK or Dubai. As I mentioned earlier that you can multiply that money at higher rate within Pakistan instead of abroad where unfortunately rules have to followed. Just a humble request from a loyal Pakistani who is getting bored of the status quo and corruption .... Pakistan Zindabad.
