US Consul General Robert Reed on Monday congratulated 100 students for successfully completing the US-sponsored English Access Microscholarship Program. More than 400 Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) students benefited from these scholarships.
“English has become the language of business and education throughout the world. However, it can be difficult for many students to find opportunities to learn English,” said Reed at the award ceremony. “The English Access Program helps students overcome this challenge. We are proud to partner with the Peace Education and Development (PEAD) Foundation to invest in Pakistan’s youth.”
PEAD collaborated with the US Consulate to select students from local madrassas and hired local teachers to lead the classes.
