Khattak was speaking to Shahzeb Khanzada on his show "To the point" on Monday.
Dilating his plans to tackle corruption, the new K-P CM said no development funds will be given to MPAs and all work will be done through open tenders.
“Once the local government will be in place, all the powers will be delegated to village level,” he added.
Capital city
Responding to a comment comparing the capital cities of the four provinces, Khattak said Peshawar is K-P’s face and sadly it is not in good condition.
He vowed to completely change the city for the better.
K-P vs Punjab
On a question regarding his competition with Punjab Chief Minister-elect Shahbaz Sharif, Khattak boasted that Shahbaz will be following him rather than the other way around.
“I’m more experienced in terms of politics,” he claimed.
Education
Reiterating PTI’s stance of declaring education emergency, Khattak lamented that multiple education systems have created class differences in the society.
Load shedding
On ending load shedding in the province, the K-P CM said the province has money for power generation and it will do so.
He, however, added that energy produced by the province goes to the national grid and the federal government is responsible for its distribution.
K-P committee
Clarifying how the PTI committee for K-P will work, Khattak said the committee members will advise Imran on issues related to the province, who in return will discuss them with us.
The committee is reported to be headed by the PTI chief and will consist of handpicked members including Asad Umar, Jahangir Tarren, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi, Asad Qaiser, Pervaiz Khattak and Atif Khan.
Nepotism
Responding to a question related to news making rounds on social media of him getting his family women on reserved seats, Khattak said all of the MPAs were selected for the seats on merit.
PTI’s future
Admitting that PTI’s future will be based on how the party will deliver in K-P, Khattak said he knew how big this challenge was and he accepted it because he knows things can be changed.

Khattack ..the young CM is himself tax evader
@ ch allah daad you have made the joke of the century.. ;p
Let the Medicine work
We,the people, brought you here sir through our mandate and will stand by you. So let's get this party on
@Omer: Come on. PTI jaa given detailed policy papers on all aspects. Go and have a look on them before making such non sense comment.
The question here is not MNS. The question is PTI's performance. They have been shouting from the roof tops for the past two years that they should be given a chance as they can break the status qou. But the choices that they have made so far are still in line with any other party.
They have not shared any plan, be it education, economy, security or development. Tall claims cannot take them very far.
Selection of family members and relatives on reserved seats : Not a reasonable an satisfactory response. Who made the selection and what was the merit / selection criterea. We expect transparency with merit - I hope and understand that CM can not opine and decide on the merit in isolation
@ ch allah daad And that is way main shab is paying 5 thousand tax?
@Ch. Allah Daad: I would love to agree with you provided Mian Sahab pays his electrciity bills. If you think I am making it up. Try this link and care to share who happens to be #12 top defaulter? Lets be fair for a change.

Pervez Khattak cut the deadline from 90 days to 30 days. KP will turn into a reformed state modeled after Scandinavian nations soon. One-upmanship and political rhetoric in Pakistan knows no bounds.
@Muhammad: He might surprise you with his magic lamp or wand! Lolz Regards, M
@Ch. Allah Daad: LOL you have a very good sense of humor!
Just LAWL! His first statement after taking oath was "Taliban are not our enemy". Now he will end corruption in 30 days. I read a report the other day here at ET; power theft in KP is 39 % just about same as it is in northern Sindh (40%). Women were disenfranchised in many areas of KP. Sir, you are right you will end corruption that soon.. No terrorists/extremists in KP in the next 15 days... No power theft in KP from tomorrow onwards. Women driving hummers in KP in the next 20 days... ROFL!!!
Yes single person can erase corruption, GOD has given much power to goodness, even if starts from single person
Great news and to be applauded. Control on funds is the key and in past governments its the MPA's making hay while the Rayaa suffers. This was always the bone of corruption. Take away the bone and you end corruption. Its like opening a new Frontier, worthy of the original name of North West Frontier Province.
lets see.......
@Ch. Allah Daad: If Nawaz Sharif is so 'honest' and 'sincere', why doesn't he bring all his assets to Pakistan and declare them.
Ch. Allah Daad, please tell me you're joking?
@ Ch Allah Daad You must be kidding, right? Just go and look at the history of Mian sbs business empire all industry was established after he became finance minister of Punjab except for one Ittefaq Foundry. Who can forget the wavier of duty on scrap imports to benefit Ittefaq foundries and most recently Halla Milk scandle and am sure there must be a thousand more tales untold.
@Ch. Allah Daad: Bro, wait another year and you will see record level of corruption and inflation. Its same old party of 1990s.
First do it.....................and then let the people say that the job has been done.
Pervez Khattak, the former schoolmate of Imran Khan, after joining PTI, has started making tall & shallow claims similar to Imran Khan Niazi in the past.
Just like Imran Khan taking various U-Turns including taking the turncoats in his fold (Sh Rasheed, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Makhdooms of Multan), despite making tall claim of "change", has selected Pervez Khattak, a 61 year old “youth”, who has changed his loyalties 4 times in the past, swinging from PPP to AftabSherpao to ANP because he happens to be the former school-mate of PTI’s Lifetime Chairman Imran Khan Niazi. This is a glaring example of Cronyism.
In the "real Pakistan”, a person swinging loyalties is called “Lota” but in “Naya Pakistan” such a person has been made as Cheif Minister despite the fact that he had lost the much-trumpeted intra-party elections. This is yet another example of Cronyism by PTI.
Pervez Khattak has selected 3 immediate female family members as MPAs on reserved seats in KPK Assembly, despite making the tall claims of ending dynastic politics! Welcome all PTI trolls to so-called Naya KPK.
With such glaring examples of Cronyism and Nepotism, any tall claim by Imran Khan & his crony are nothing but self-contradictory talks!
IK, PK, walk your talk!
"He, however, added that energy produced by the province goes to the national grid and the federal government is responsible for its distribution."
so he himself admits that federal government is responsible for distribution of elecricity..i wonder what was his leader trying to preach during election campaign by targetting sharifs despite knowing these facts..hypocrites of top level..
mr khattak should first cancel the special women seats of PTI he had allotted to his close relatives, according to reports. favouratism and using influence is the biggest corruption. PTI has been divided in three groups for ministries and the position of advisers, a news report said on Monday. we are waiting when mr khattak will make announcement to convert the chief minister house in library. when he will give up protocol, we have not yet heard anything. PTI speaker asad qaisar should clarufy reports of gifting a special woman seat to a woman who joined the party just few months ago, ignoring the old sincere women activists. khattak and asad qaisar involved in fighting for the office of chief minister and the issue was resolved after imran khan intervened. how will they run affairs if the PTI leaders fight for positions. can they tell the nation what is difference between the PTI and other parties?
These are all hollow claims. Only a person who is not corrupt himself can end corruption. Since Nawaz Sharif is the most sincere and honest politician, therefore only mian sahab can end corruption in the country once and for all. It will become evident in 5 years time when this great leader completes his tenure. PTI kids will never understand unfortunately.
We are waiting to see these claims turning into actions. Wishing Good Luck to PTI government. All the best Pakistan.
CM .sahib kp got terbella dam and why gets more load shedding think about it
I am glad that the young new leadership of PTI would end corruption in 30 days. It is a great news for the citizens of KPK. We would not have water in the milk anymore. No more fake medicines, no adultrated food, no injustice with women and minorities and everybody would be safe in KPK from the terrorists. Perhaps they would not consider depriving women and minorities of their rights as corruption. It is great if he does it, more power to him and PTI. We would know in only a few months.
