“The youth, especially students, will have to play a lead role to resolve the country’s problems and set it on the road to progress and prosperity,” said Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Anjum Habib Vohra. He was addressing the annual dinner at the Ameerud Din Medical College here on Sunday. Vohra, a professor at the Lahore General Hospital, said educational institutions needed to develop systems based on modern research to cultivate highly skilled professionals. He said higher education meant required special focus on character building. He said only those who had suffered dependence and slavery knew the value of freedom. “Our youths will have to introduce their country as a fast growing and developing nation,” said Vohro. He said the students were representatives of an organisation that promoted knowledge. At the end, Prof Anjum Habib Vohra distributed certificates among faculty and students.
