LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Chief Justice on Friday directed the health secretary to appear in person before the court on June 17 in a contempt petition moved against him for not regularising pharmacists despite the court ordering him to do so. Around 30 pharmacists have filed the petition, saying that they were appointed after they passed the Punjab Public Service Commission examination. They said the health department had challenged the order issued by a  single bench of the LHC, which was dismissed by a divisional bench. The department, say the petitioners, is yet to implement the LHC order.
