Crime: Couple robbed; shop burgled

The police registered separate cases but no arrests or recoveries had been made till the filing of this report.

RAWALPINDI: A couple was looted and a shop burgled in different localities of Naseerabad on Wednesday. In the first incident, Ahmed Subhan lodged a complaint with the police, saying that two armed robbers intercepted him and his wife, while they were on a motorcycle, at Pirwadhai Mor on their way to meet relatives. He added that the robbers snatched a total of Rs15,000, a mobile phone and documents from them. Meanwhile, Wasim Ali lodged a complaint with the same police that robbers entered his shop by breaking the locks in Qasimabad and made away with as many as 70 bags of rice, 20 cartons containing anti-mosquito spray bottles, 20 sacks of millets, and 15 gallons of oil and 50 sacks of flour worth Rs550,000. Meanwhile, the police registered separate cases but no arrests or recoveries had been made till the filing of this report.
