Bad food: Spurious pepper factory unearthed

FAISALABAD: A spurious chilli pepper factory was unearthed in Razaabad area on Thursday. As many as 17 bags of adulterated chilli pepper were seized. City district government spokesman Muhammad Imran said that a team of Jinnah Town tehsil municipal officials and Razaabad police had raided the factory in Arshad Town. The spokesman said that two workers, identified as Naeem Ali and Raheel Aslam, fled the scene. Imran said the two men had been supplying ground pepper across the district. He said samples from confiscated chilli pepper bags had been sent for laboratory tests.
