Millions recovered
Delhi Police have recovered Indian Rs 0.55 million that they allege was paid by bookies to cricketer Sreesanth for spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, NDTV reported.
The police seized the money with the help of Abhishek Shukla, an event manager and Screesanth’s friend, who was arrested on Wednesday morning in Delhi and released on bail today.
Reports state that Shukla had removed what the police call “incriminating evidence” from a hotel room where bookie Jiju Janardhan and Sreesanth had stayed but they were able to recover a laptop, mobile phones, iPads and Rs 130,000 in cash.
Notes written in English and Malayalam were also found with entries made by Sreesanth himself.
Janardhan, Sreesanth, along with two of his teammates Ajit Chandlia and Akeet Chavan and are in judicial custody and are lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail since May 16.

When will they go after the the big names like Gavaskar? Police found more than 50 thousand dollars in cash stuffed in his gym locker years ago. Also who can forget Shane Warne tweeting twice and Lalit Modi once before the England India world cup game that the match was going to end in a tie. The way Pakistan lost the semi in the same tournament had "fix" written all over it. Corruption goes all the way up in the cricketing world and these three Indian players were caught because they were doing something on the side without the approval or knowledge of the real kingpins.

C'mon people, it's IPL. T20 format isn't even legitimate cricket, it's highly biased towards batting side, which crowd usually loves the most. If T20 cricket keeps bookies off the real cricket, we should leave it that way. But yes, fixtures in Test cricket and ODIs must be taken very seriously. Pandora box is about to open with more surprise of IPL quick rich money scheme soon going to blast with spot-fixing and bookies that has root cause to India afterall. I'm glad that pakistani players are not part of IPL.
IPL has all ingredients for a being a fixing and bookies paradise. However one point that I want to highlight is the disparity between payments to super stars as compared to local players. Glen Maxwell was a million dollar buy and only warmed the dug out. Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sanghakara, Angelo Matthews, Mahela Jayawardene some other big names were only paid for namesake. On the other hand the local player are paid peanuts, and when they find an opportunity, they utilise that. IPL is pure entertainment not sports as like WWE/WWF, the crowds loves it despite knowing that much is scripted as they love Indian Movies far away from reality but for few hours it takes the viewer into a fantasy world.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is lot more than this that does not meet the eye. Indiian test cricket and one-dayers are all fixed. The Sharjah cup matches were fixed big times. World cup was also fixed. Attack on SriLanka team in Lahore, ouster of Pakistan as venue for international cricket was all pre-planned in Delhi. Most of the bookie business is based in India. India has hurt the game of cricket more than any other country. To cleanse this game of all the filth India has brought into it, Indian team should be banned from any international cricket event for five years so that, it is played by cricketers and not bookies and it be a lesson of the rest of the world.
Sree has made the mistake of the life and he will surely pay for it.

IPL is always a big bookies club. This is the very small revelation. Ever since it started people make millions but as usuall my fellow indians and india media lives in denial finally one courage person broke this silence.
