Snatching: Man robbed of Rs50,000 in broad day light
Police, on the complaint of the victim, took up the case and launched a hunt for the culprits.

Unknown people snatched Rs50,000 from a citizen at gun point in Rawalpindi in broad day light on Wednesday.
According to sources, Zaheer had withdrawn Rs50,000 from a bank in Chaklala scheme III and was returning when two dacoits riding on a motorbike intercepted him and deprived him of the money. After committing the crime, in the limits of New Town Police Station, the robbers managed to flee from the scene.
Police, on the complaint of the victim, took up the case and launched a hunt for the culprits.
Meanwhile, fire engulfed a building near Naswari Bazaar in Ganjmandi. Rescue 1122 firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished it after some time. There were no reports of any casualty. The reason for the fire was established to be electrical short-circuiting.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the short-circuiting happened due in the wires coming to and from the UPS system installed. He said that the room where the fire started was completely gutted.
He said that the said room was used as for storage of bleach and caustic soda.
