KARACHI:

Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) appreciated Sindh Governor Dr IshratUl Ebad Khan for taking note of increased load-shedding in industrial and residential areas in Karachi, after the government was successful in resolving a spate between Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) which resulted in power outages in Karachi.

President KCCI Muhammad Haroon Agar said that like in the past, the Sindh governor took serious notice of the issue and was able to intervene effectively, calling the heads of both companies to resolve the issue until a final solution is reached.

Agar also appreciated the Interim Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources and Secretary Petroleum for their support in reaching an agreement to supply the required amount of gas to KESC.
