ECP dissolves all election tribunals

Nominations for new election tribunals can be sent till May 30.

ISLAMABAD:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) dissolved all election tribunals as per procedure, reported Express News on Tuesday.

The election tribunals were established to address all election related complaints.


The ECP had approved the formation of 14 election tribunals – five in Punjab and three each in all provinces to decide disputes during general elections within 120 days of filing of a petition.

Nominations for new election tribunals can be sent till May 30, after which the names will undergo scrutiny.
