Survivors: Man poisons four kids, himself

Muhammad Ramazan, had quarrelled with his wife following which she had left for her parents’ home.

FAISALABAD: A man and his four children were taken to a hospital on Monday after he poisoned his four children and himself following a quarrel with his wife. 

They were taken to a hospital, where doctors treating them said that they were in critical condition.  On Sunday, rescue officials said, Muhammad Ramazan, a resident of Satiana Road, had quarrelled with his wife following which she had left for her parents’ home.

They said Ramazan asked her to return, but she did not. They said he poisoned his children- Jannat, 6,  Aleena, 8, Afaq, 10, and Bilal, 12- and also swallowed some of the poison himself.  A neighbour, who said he had been ringing the door bell for more than 20 minutes to meet Ramazan, informed the Rescue service. They were then taken to district headquarter hospital.
