Road accidents: Two die, 11 injured

A case was registered against the driver and the bus was taken into custody.

BAHAWALPUR: Two people died and 11 were injured in two road accidents on Monday. Of the injured, three were reported to be in critical condition. In one of the accidents, police said, a passenger bus travelling from Hasilpur to Multan collided with a bull cart near Adda Badnian a few kilometres from Hasilpur. One of the passengers, later identified as Muhammad Akbar, was killed on the spot. Eleven others were injured. They were taken to tehsil headquarters hospital, where doctors said that three of them were in critical condition. They were sent to Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur. The bus driver fled. A case was registered against the driver and the bus was taken into custody. Elsewhere, a man was killed when a car ran into a tree near Adda Chokiwala in Inayti police area, Hasilpur.
