Rash driving : Swimmers hurt as car falls into Canal

Witnesses said driver was trying to overtake another car when it overturned.

LAHORE: At least three people were injured when a speeding car overturned and fell into the Canal on Sunday. Police said a woman was driving the car. Witnesses said she was trying to overtake another car when it overturned. Two people swimming in the canal were injured. The driver and the men were taken to a hospital. Police did not register an FIR despite complaints from the injured swimmers because, they said, it was an accident. They encouraged them to reach a settlement with the driver.
