Mind your language: Traffic cops told to behave themselves

RAWALPINDI: The city’s traffic wardens have been directed to remain polite during duty hours and to deal with citizens in a cordial manner, even law violators. City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Abdul Razzaq Cheema said that corrupt traffic police officers will not be tolerated in the department and would be dismissed from the service if found guilty. He further said that traffic police officers would not be allowed to use mobile phones during duty hours and strict action will also be taken against those seen gossiping at their duty points. He instructed traffic wardens to perform their duties with dedication and commitment so that the image of the force could be improved.
