Epidemic: Five children succumb to measles

Currently, there are 30 children under treatment at the hospital.

GUJRANWALA/ FAISALABAD: Five children were reported to have died on Sunday from measles in Faisalabad and Gujranwala. Eight-year-old Amna, 12-year-old Laiba and seven-year-old Ambreen were admitted at the Allied Hospital a few days ago. Currently, there are 30 children under treatment at the hospital with 19 at the measles ward and 11 at the intensive care unit. Doctors said the condition of eight of them was critical. The children, who died in Gujranwala, were both residents of Rahwali.
