QUETTA: Former nazim Muhammad Aslam Rind has said that the provincial capital has been facing an acute scarcity of potable water after Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has switched off several tube-wells.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Aslam Rind said, “About three million-strong population of the metropolis are facing difficulties due to non-supply of water by (Wasa) as the department has switched off several tube-wells and are not paying attention to repair the ones not working.”
He said that people of Quetta have been left at the mercy of tanker mafia at a time when the prices have skyrocketed, leaving behind poor people who are unable to afford high charges .
