He said the claims were "totally baseless and without any merit".
Musharraf will continue to live in Pakistan and "there is no exit strategy," he said.
The former president is currently being tried in several cases and continues to be detained at his Islamabad residence.
"The political entities who feel intimidated by Musharraf's presence must realize that he is a soldier who has fought for Pakistan and nothing scares him. Musharraf dedicated his life to Pakistan the day he joined the armed forces and he has every right as a citizen to live with his people," Anjum stated.
APML, PTI in talks
Anjum confirmed reports that the All Pakistan Muslim League has been approached by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and discussions between the political parties are underway to identify areas of mutual interest.
Sarfraz Anjum was recently appointed as the official political advisor to Musharraf and is also credited for APML's success in Chitral.

So proud to see at least one Pakistani, who is determined and doing exactly as he claimed. Pervez Musharraf the only honest and brave Leader in Pakistan so far, I expected something similar from Imran Khan, and hoped from Nawaz Sharif that he may get honest and serve Pakistan now, I did not expect them to change everything in Pakistan in a month or even year, but there should be signs of progress. I hope I am wrong but what I see, none of them was honest in warning USA and asking to stop drone attacks, USA has shown no respect to Pakistan and practically USA has tried to negate that Pakistan is a sovereign country by attacking exactly the next day of NAWAZ SHARIF’S warning, request, or begging, I see now absolute silence from Government, even Imran Khan, who is still in good books somehow and people including me hope that he will prove better patriot than the existing politicians, at least he will not deceive the nation as cheaply as others. I hope General Musharraf will get justice in Pakistan, and he will get what he deserves the most, which is a chance to contest in election and Inshallah be the president of Pakistan once again to put Pakistan on the path of prosperity.
let us not mix up our thoughts and affiliations,Mush has played his inning now new young,dedicated and nation loving leadership is desperately required at all levels.
Pervez Musharraf must has to stay in Pakistan because he is a true,sincere,honest,devoted and dedicated Pakistani and he proved it in his regime...... @Historian 1: Next PM is Nawaz Sharif and who will be the president nothing can be said surely and most probably next president may/shall be of PML-N also because PML-N does have simple 2/3 majority in national assembly.......
@Mirza: One more thing add saying that so call leaders claim this is democracy in fact they don't know about essence of democracy the democracy is not anywhere in Pakistan for instance where people vote looking who is of their Relative, Cost, Creed, so forth rather than true leader. I am not looking real democracy in intimate future.
Jen musharaf is the only leader in history of pakistan who put pakistan way to graetest progress and in reply the he has been treated really shamfull for our country and juditiary.JOD bless gen musharaf.
@ashar, There is no comparision between Gandhi jee and Jinnah .
General Musharraf Best leader for Pakistan....Bound to win......for PAKISTAN.... Pakistan First .....May God bless Pakistan And PM...
Musharaf loves Load shedding:) ++++++++++++++++++++++
Let the old lion be. Set your collective sights on the future vision. Look and move ahead towards it...continue to vote for better and better leadership. Build forward.
I am angry the way our leader is treated. we fully support him and he will succeed with the grace of God.
The best leader we ever had. Don't believe me; compare pre-Musharraf (1999) with Musharraf (till 2007), then compare post-Musharraf (now) to Musharraf (2007). We were a mess in 1999, and we're returning there thanks to so-called democracy. Pakistanis deserve Pakistan. It does not deserve a leader like Musharraf.
@Dr.A.K.Tewari: Of course and he will prove himself better than Gandhi jee.
Nawaz can not hold public office under any law; lets see SC-CJ interpretation in this regard.
Every effort from all Musharraf opponents was to keep him out of election by hook or crook. However, people of Pakistan have now seen true face of the so called independent judiciary. Inshaallah Musharraf will emerge stronger with all his decisions vidicated.
A genuine,honest and brave man. Pervez Musharraf does not need to hide from anything,that is another story that our current law makers are all corrupt and he is surrounded by them. A jem of a person,long live Pervez Musharraf. May God protect him.
All rubbish allegations will prove to be rubbish soon and the great leader will won everyone's heart.
Parvez Musharraf should be sent out to the UK or dubai where he was for last 5yrs. If he want to stay in the country than the we should not provide him VVIP protocol at tax players money. He is a non entity.
@ashar:
It's a reality . You have to accept it sooner or later ....
musharref should stand his ground in pakistan. his only salvation and vindication remains in not fleeing.
everyone knows from inside who is really responsible fro BB murder and who gained the max out of it. Lal masjid was a state decision and it was a right decision against terrorists.
@Aftab Nabi: What an exaggeration!
Very well said. at one point when BB was alive, she and Eric Seigal (her friend and adviser in USA) was tasked to find out about Mushrraff if he has any property bought or any overseas bank account and so on. They could not find because he is honest person and true to Pakistan.
This true honest men will InshaAllah soon become the leader of Pakistan. The current ones have been tried and tested and the results are there in front of us. Fark saaf zahir hai.
Oh Yeah the good old days. Of course he should stay in Pakistan and face the music. Let the law take it's course and if found not guilty then he could live in his mansion happily ever after. If found guilty for incarcerating the Chief Justice of Pakistan along with other justices and subverting the constitution by over- throwing an elected government of NS then he should spend some time in the clink and sure he should stay in Pakistan.
@Anjum Whatever
He is on ECL, don't showoff...
Pervez Musharaf must stay and face all his politically motivated trials, the precious time and moment he has got now to prove him guilty it will never come back again remember "Abhi nahi tou kabhi nahi",we dont want to listen from others that he was a criminal,fugitive and more something like this,we absolutely love him, the true leader and brave general,all the tactics are being used against him to go away from the country so that his opponents may get an excuse that PM was gone by the save passage so it was not possible to run the trials against him. May be some severe pressures being build to PM by army generals,Saudi Arabia,or America to leave the country in favour of Nawaz Shareef to run his govt without any tension regarding to PM fake cases
Yes Commando!!! Respect.
We wish Musharraf the best of luck. He has done more good for Pakistan than all the other clowns who claim to be leaders.
All accusations against our great leader will Inshallah prove wrong. Musharraf is a true leader.
The most progressive and honest leader since Jinnah, Mr Pervez Musharraf is hounded by the retrogressive forces. But I believe he will stay resolute. Bravo, President Musharraf.
@Historian 1: With a reformed Musharraf and matured Imran Khan, that might be the best setup and worth being proud of.
When money runs out overseas, Pakistan is the best place to live and there is renewed passion to help Pakistanis.
Our next Prime Minister is Imran Kahn and next President is Parvez Musharraf.
