ISLAMABAD:

The Polyclinic Joint Action Committee (JAC) will go on strike on Friday against delay in hiring of employees from BPS-6 to BPS-12.

JAC Chairman Raja Ilyas said that during the strike, all departments will remain closed except outpatient departments (OPDs).

He alleged that Joint Executive Director (JED) Dr Zahid Hussian was creating hurdles against the hiring by influencing officials of the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CAD).

He said that the Departmental Selection Committee (DSC) has recently finalised names of 129 people for hiring against vacant posts.

Ilyas claimed that Dr Hussian was trying to influence an official in the Ministry of CAD, who was also a member of the selection committee, to disapprove the final list of the DSC.

“We staged a protest demonstration outside the Ministry of CAD against this delaying tactics on Thursday, but nobody took us seriously,” Ilyas said, adding that was why they were going on strike. Dr Hussian could not be contacted for comments.
