The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued NOCs to cricketers for the Sharjah Super Sixes which is in progress in the UAE. Earlier, the board had denied them participation, stating that the tournament was not authorised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The players who have signed for the event include all-rounder Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, Imran Nazir, Hammad Azam and Ahmad Shahzad. “We have received an e-mail from the ICC giving us the go-ahead for the event,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune. “We have issued NOCs to all the players who sought permission for the tournament.” None of the players are included in Pakistan’s squad for the ICC Champions Trophy.
