MANSEHRA: Re-polling at two polling station of PK-60 Battagram in Mansehra is scheduled to be held on Thursday, according to an official.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s (JUI-F) Shah Hussain Khan had won this seat for the third consecutive time in the May 11 polls, but with a small margin.

Khan’s opponent, independent candidate Engineer Zubair Khan, lodged a complaint with the district’s returning officer and the Election Commission of Pakistan that over 2,800 women of the district were not allowed to vote, claiming that this led to his defeat.

The ECP agreed to his demands to hold fresh polls at the two women’s polling stations in PK-60.
