Seepage and mismanagement: False ceiling falls at Larkana hospital

NAUDERO: The false ceiling of an operation theater at Chandka Medical Hospital Larkana fell on Monday, but there was no person close by.

At 9:30am, no patient, paramedic or surgeon was there, so there were no casualties. All operations at the urology department were postponed due to the incident According to the doctors, the lack of a proper drainage system caused the leakage, and seepage could be seen at another operation theatre even now.

The doctors said that continuous negligence of college authorities regarding building maintenance has caused the incident. The doctors and paramedics have demanded the administration replace the entire roof so that they could work in a safe environment.
