KARACHI: The hearing of the Shahzeb Khan murder trial was adjourned on Monday as the Anti-Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III) judge was on leave.

The judge, Ghulam Mustafa Memon, is holding the trial following an apex court ruling. The state counsel, Abdul Maroof, said the hearing was adjourned because the judge was not feeling well.

The court is hearing the case against four suspects, Shahrukh Jatoi, Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, his younger brother Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur, and a servant, Ghulam Murtaza Lashari. They had been charged with killing 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan last December. Siraj Talpur’s counsel, Mehmood Qureshi, was expected to present his arguments. Following him the, counsel of Sajjad Talpur and Lashari will give their final arguments in the case.

The arguments will continue until the defence counsels and lawyers for the state conclude the matter. The court will then announce the verdict.
