FAISALABAD:

The Excise and Taxation Department (ETD) launched a crackdown against vehicles without life time tokens. Registration papers of 127 vehicles were seized on Sunday. ETD Regional Director Muhammad Sarfraz Wafa said that life time token was now mandatory for all motorcycles and vehicles up to 100 CC.

He said vehicle owners had been given until Sunday to pay their dues.

He said the vehicle owners, whose documents were confiscated, had been given a month’s time to get tokens. In case of non-compliance, he said, they would be charged a 100 per cent fine.
