Maj (retired) Muhammad Akram and his supporters are accused of beating up some supporters of Rao Kashif, a PML-N candidate, on May 11 at the Government Boys High School, Samundri City, to vote for the later.
Police said Kashif’s brothers were also injured in the scuffle that followed the attack.
Polling at the station was suspended.
The accused had fled before a police team arrived at the scene.
The situation was brought under control in an hour and polling resumed. Cases were registered against 28 men, including Maj Akram and his two sons.
Maj Akram and five men- identified as Zohaib Aslam, Muhammad Asif, Qasim Ali, Shakeel and Naseer Akram- were arrested on Saturday. They were produced before Magistrate Noor Ahmad on Sunday who sent them to the Faisalabad district jail.
