Khan had earlier held Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain responsible for the death of the PTI leader who was shot outside her house in Karachi late on Saturday.
"(Protesting) is our democratic right and we will be protesting in Karachi tomorrow," he said.
He invited people from all political parties to protest alongside the PTI.
"The people of Karachi are responsible for its future."
Additionally, Imran said the party would be demonstrating in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Islamabad office on Friday to protest against the rigging that took place during the elections.
"We will also be demonstrating tomorrow in all districts and headquarters to register our protest over rigging...we don't want to derail democracy. We just want everyone to know what happened," he added.

Killing of the Zahra Shahid Hussain is a brutal act. PTI has due right to protest over it. But it should indulge too much in it. It and MQM should allow the life to be normal in Karachi.

I Khan should show maturity in politics and otherwise. How can he accuse anyone of the tragic killing without any proof?? ECP has re-held elections in the Karachi polling stations where PTI accused outright rigging. To begin dharnas in such a frivolous manner is not what Pakistan needs, considering how our crowds can easily lose control, setting fires to shops, vehicles etc. Rather than the road of anarchy, why not look forward to forming government in KP, implement all the grandiose changes promised to the nation, and gain some political maturity while at it....

Great! It is a wise decision by Imran Khan, hoping that people will prove tomorrow by their protest that they are against terrorist and terrorism as well.
While all of us condemn violence and stand shoulder to shoulder with PTI and the family of Ms. Hussain, it is ironic that PTI and Imran Khan are protesting at one incident so loudly. They have mostly been quiet at the violence, assassinations and bombings faced by other political parties. Not only that, they do not condemn the Talibans who accept full responsibility for such violence, do not consider them enemies and want to negotiate with them. That is hypocritical. Our teaching is to treat others as we want to be treated ourselves; like for others what we like for ourselves. We need to remember that. May all Pakistanis be safe and prosper.
Imran Khan ought to insit the police identify who killed Zahra Shahid before accusing anyone, which is how the civilised world reacts. It is a tragic cold blooded target killing no doubt, the killers should not get away with impunity, Yet, if Mr. Khan wants to lead a nation, the last thing he should do is incite hatred and anarchy. Likewise, in Karachi people have voted again in those polling stations that were rigged. He should accept it, the extreme statements of massive rigging do not favour transition and again do not speak well of his state of mind. Rather, now that his party will form government in KP, why not make it a pilot project, implement good governance, a police force that is well trained and with necessary resources to fight crime and extremism, his education and health programmes and so on... it would be a good start rather than the contradictory statements being uttered such as transition ought to move on peacefully, yet come out in the streets to protest....
Imran Khan and PTI. For God's sake leave Karachi alone. Enough of you and your power politics. Why have you picked up on Karachi only. Why dont you have the guts to cause a similar mayhem in Lahore. The reason is that you would be booted out of the streets. It is only a week since you have entered the political scene of Pakistan and already the only word associated with you is dharna. Get on and do some useful political service for whatever little mandate you have gone, Whatever change you claimed to bring to the body politic of Pakistan already looks unwelcome.

There is so much hatred and tension in the air in Karachi. Please, I request you to kindly be the greater leader, swallow your pride. @mkz: These Rally and Dharna are very important right now for Solidarity and Sovereignty of Pakistan. People were sleeping for a long time and now they have awakened. We cant have the people who responsible for Pakistan current condition have their way anymore. I am proud of all the people of Pakistan who are out on streets fighting for their freedom. May Allah give them more strength and courage to fight against the corrupt establishment.
IK is a good guy but when is he going to accept that man with a fractured skull is of little use in politics. He should better resign his chairmanship or take leave until he recovers. This is likely to take several years rest without stress. You owe it to yourself and your family. You have been clean bowled out. There are other activities besides politics.

If we truly want Pakistan to "move forward", we need to catch and fight corruption whenever and where ever it is done. Those saying the PTI protests against blatant rigging should stop, are effectively asking PTI to turn a blind eye on corruption.
When a party uses corrupt means to come into power, do you honestly think it wouldn't continue doing corruption when ruling?
WAKE UP! This is NOT a good start for the future of Pakistan.

I'm also against dhanas everywhere. However in Karachi, it was a clear case of thuggery, thappa mafia taking control of polling stations, and many peaceful citizen not allowed to vote. We, the people of Karachi have to stand up against injustice. Even ECP admitted that it couldn't hold free and fair elections in Karachi. European Union said that the elections were 90% fair and most of the problems were recorded in Karachi. Only if ECP just randomly picks a constituency and checks thumbprints and if one person is found to have cast hundreds of votes, their thumbs should be cut off. It's not a joke, it's the future of our nation.
Though there are no words to condemn the killing of Senior PTI member Zahra Shahid Hussain, but by protesting on the streets Imran Khan will be toeing the same policy of other political leaders.
Then what difference will be left between Imran Khan and other political leaders?
