Shops remained closed and less traffic was seen on the roads following the protest. Gun shots were also heard by citizens.
A van was set on flames in Pakka Qila, Do Qabar Chowk area and a loader van was set ablaze in Pinjra Pul area.
A PTI leader Muhammad Usman said that his house and hotel were attacked early morning and he was harassed and threatened. Usman's car was set on fire while several shops near his house were broken in to.
Security forces could not be seen anywhere during the protest.
Unknown individuals protested on Hyderabad and Latifabad roads on Monday morning, reportedly in response to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s direct allegation on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
On Saturday night, PTI leader Zahra Shahid Hussain was shot dead in Karachi. Imran Khan had held Altaf Hussain responsible for the murder.
Due to the critical situation in the city, markets , shops, petrol pumps and medical stores remained closed.

Karachi Police and local Journalists have one thing in common. They frequently refer to "naamaloom afrad" even though they know who they are. Its time that the Police and Journalists stand up, if not for the nation ... but for themselves as they have lost hundreds of their fellow colleagues in target killing by these "naamaloom afrad." Enough of this balancing act; assert yourself and be bold. The courts and the nation are with you.

"Secular" MQM attacking a Christian guy. And people wonder why secularism is hated by Pakistanis. It's because of self-professed "secular" terrorists like MQM, ANP, and PPPP.
Why is the Pakistani media so afraid of calling these terrorists by their name? MQMers. The english media has no right to call for others to identify TTP by its name if they can't even identify these "unknown persons" by who they really are.
Pakistan is a lawless country and there is one group in Karachi and Hyderabad who can not tolerate anyone else getting elected and they want to rule these cities with vengeance, the whole nation know who is responsible for this kind of behavior. It is time for the coming fedral government to settle this once for all and bring their leader to Pakistan even if it will sour the relations with Great Britain. British Government should understand that their citizen can not play havoc with the lives of Pakistanis perpetually. MQM should also understand that this fire could go around the country and could hurt the Urdu speaking populating all over Pakistan, I know some of them in Mardan and they are most beautiful people you could meet or associate with, and I am proud to be their friend.

an advice to Security forces, go to India get training where these namaloom afrad got training then come back and fight them. or if you still can not due to less courage then please dont feed your family for free on our taxes.

I have come to a conclusion that these Na-Maloom afrad are trained better than our Army and Security Agencies,,, And our Agencies are no Match for them, Hence we cannot do any complaints to our Security Agencies,,, They are just no Match.
