Domestic Violence: Beating causes woman to miscarry

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Tariq Mehmood Zargham sought comments from the Liaquatabad SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking an FIR against her husband who had allegedly beat her causing her to miscarry. Margret, the petitioner, submitted that she had married Sunny John on November 3, 2012. Their marriage hit a rough patch after a while, she said. Margaret said she got into a fight with her husband on May 6. Jan kicked her badly even though he knew she was six pregnant, she said. As a result of the thrashing, Margate said, her condition deteriorated. She was taken to a hospital where doctors confirmed that her baby had died and they had to abort the child to save her life.
