Roadside Explosion: Police narrowly escape bomb blast, no loss reported
The official added 8 police officials, along with the SHO of Baka Khel Police, were in the targeted van.

A police van on Bannu-Miranshah road was targeted in a remote-controlled bomb explosion on Saturday morning. Fortunately, no human loss was reported, said a police official.
The official said the explosives were attached to a motorcycle parked at a roadside near Azad Medan area and went off soon after a police van passed through the spot.
He said the Baka Khel police station van was the target of the blast, but the vehicle was not damaged and the personnel escaped unhurt.
The official added eight police officials, along with the Station House Officer (SHO) of Baka Khel Police, were in the van which was heading back to the police station after routine patrol when the incident occurred.
He said the motorcycle on which the explosives were planted was destroyed. Following the incident, policemen rushed to the site and cordoned off the area, but no arrests have yet been made.
