"It will help the new government to minimise precious national wealth besides help masses in efficient manner," Ahsan Iqbal told APP.
The senior PML-N leader said that a meeting of the parliamentary party would convene on May 20 in Lahore, under the chair of party chief Nawaz Sharif, which would discuss formation of the government in the center and in the provinces.
Iqbal said that PML-N has gained a simple majority in the center, and a thumping majority in Punjab. Additionally, the PML-N is also set to form a coalition government in Balochistan with the help of other political parties.
"First 100-day plan of action, including energy crisis, law and order situation and other challenges being faced by the country, would also be discussed in the meeting," Iqbal added.

PMLN can solve the problem of energy as we already produce some electricity using modern techniques it will be very cheep we have already two projects, and we have capacity and trained man power to do it for whole country it will be surly safe as all other advance countries produce
A small cabinet leads to quicker decisions and actions. Accountability and assessment of work-in progress is faster and sycophants are kept at arms length. A smaller cabinet means less unauthorized expenses on luxuries. Good show PMLN. Salams
@Arsie: well said
So Hamza, Ishaq, Capt Safdar and Abid Sher Ali only
@GS@Y: He said it and ET quoted him. Perhaps we should question his intentions rather than ET's editing standards.
“It will help the new government to minimise precious national wealth besides help masses in efficient manner,” Ahsan Iqbal told APP.
That statement is more revealing than the whole article. A tiger never changes its stripes.
18th amendment does not allow you to have bigger cabinet.
Ahsan Iqbal wants to "minimise precious national wealth"? ET, please get a better editor!
Having a small cabinet as per the new requirements really means nothing because they can have as many advisers, etc .................... the politics of patronage is nery much alive.
@Siddique Malik sahib, excellent reply
Good Luck with that
though PM-L has gained a majority in the national assembly and in the punjab . it is a good omen to constitute a strong and discion making governament . The troublesome matter is the formation of balochistan government, on which the leaders need to be deepsighted on the prevailing sitution in balochistan .So for as my perception is concerned the oppertunity should be given to the national to takle the situation from all aspects .
Small cabinet.........Wise decision.......But,how small is "small"??
What do you mean by he "hints"? The next government has no choice but to consist of small-sized cabinet as compared to the cabinets of the past, because the 18th amendment requires it. So his "hinting" or not "hinting" is irrelevant. The headline is meaningless. Looks like the who wrote it doesn't know the constitution. This has to be a serious weakness for a journalist. Big enough to fit in a Kitchen?
The controversial election will make everything controversial - it is better to first bring ECP to task and satisfy the voters.
