Addressing the province’s district and sessions judges along with additional district and sessions judges inside the court premises, Justice Khan maintained this was a "warning" for the new political setup to alleviate the public’s miseries or meet the same fate.
“People have used their votes to take revenge, and the new government should expect the same treatment if they fail to meet the public’s expectations."
He said the new government, which is soon to take charge, should focus on educating citizens, ensuring equal treatment under the law, implementing court verdicts given in the public’s larger interests and thwarting conspiracies hatched against the homeland.
Acknowledging the transfer of power from one civilian government to another was a historical moment for the country, Justice Khan said corrupt elements would automatically be filtered out if democracy continued in the country. He stressed the incoming government should keep aside political gains and make an effort to steer the country away from the current crises.
"We should give priority to facing challenges in unity, as conspiracies are being hatched against our nukes," he said, adding people had been knocking on the court’s door because state institutions had failed to perform their legal obligations.
Claiming the subordinate judiciary was the judiciary’s backbone, Justice Khan asked judges to ensure it is does not indulge in corrupt practices.
Justice Khan also distributed keys of official vehicles to the judges on the occasion.

Honorable CJ PHC should refrain from issuing political statements. How about he take notice of stopping women from voting in Dir?

Voters did what they did without any attention to judicial sermonizing, and nobody is more wiser after CJ's speech. These judges just find it impossible to keep silent.

Is this the same judge who disqualified Musharraf for life time, while as per the constitution a person can be disqualified for a maximum period of 5 years.
After these remarks PHC CJ has to resign or be fired!
It is a bad sign when judges make political statements...should the politicians make statements on the judicial judgements?
I agree with most comments above that the CJ should not make political statements. How moral, legal and ethical it is to make political speeches while on the public payroll? These "independent" judges are not so naive not to know that govt servants are not allowed to indulge in politics. If they are so interested in politics they should put off their robes and contest elections. Where is supreme judicial council when we need it?
Come on ladies and gentlement what wrong can you see when judges comments political? What about when Nawaz Sharif steal and, Zardari Bhutto, Shabaz Sharif, Rehman Malik, Kaira, Hina Rabbani Khar, Fazrul rehme, Shamila Faroooqi? What about when Keyani talks about the UN team coming to Pakistan called by Hina Rabbani Khar where he cricitice PP/MQM government. Look when our elders does comment it's only for our own good and for harming us. At least are Keyani, SC, CJ better then Shaykh ul islam mr Tahrir ul qadri.
These are personal remarks and were said while not sitting on the bench. It is common practice in the US judiciary where the judges even the US Supreme Courts judges give interviews and speeches and express their views. Recently one of the Justice's wrote a book and published it and she appeared on National Public Radio, I heard her interview myself. Are they suppose to close their eyes from the rampant corruption which took place in the last 5 years in Islamabad and Peshawar. Criticizing the corruption and incompetence is not taking sides or involving in politics.

CJ should refrain from taking sides , dictating terms and making political remarks. If any thing take sou moto against election rigging
