Addressing the media after a meeting, JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman said the party leaders are still discussing the options.
The meeting is still in the initial stages, said PML-N leader Raja Zafarul Haq, who joined JUI-F meeting with a delegation.
“We are serious about the country. We don’t have desire for power. Coming to power is a responsibility,” said Rehman.
JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had called a meeting with party leaders to reach a decision about joining PML-N or sitting in the opposition benches, earlier on Saturday.
On Wednesday, JUI-F had announced it would stage protests across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on May 17 against alleged rigging during elections. However, Shahbaz Sharif met Rehman on Thursday and reportedly put forward a formal invitation for the JUI-F to ally with the PML-N to form a coalition government in the centre and Balochistan.
On May 17, JUI-F Balochistan chief Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani announced that his party will join the PML-N to form the next Balochistan government.

A couple of cars, free fuel, and assorted opportunities to make money. This is all it takes friends! This man has to be asked what has he done during his extended membership of the Parliament of Pakistan? He should gracefully retire before he is thrown out!
According to t.v news channels maulana is eying on chairmanship of Kashmir committee. The nation would like to know the contribution of this archaic committee in the last five years when the maulana chaired it , let this committee be merged with the foreign relations committee to save the tax payers money.
Molana's party has been reduced to the backward areas of KPK,areas where he runs his madrassas and where there is no access to independant news media.
Mulana is happy in power especially in chairmanship amur kashimer commetti.
undecided? are you kidding me? Is maulana saab still haggling over the rate?
Fazl ur Rehman has been exposed to the nation. Allah may save us from people who always put self before service. All those who give vote to him may think what he did in his political career for a national cause. If he has done any thing. Pl comment.
If you all want to keep him quiet & out of the politics, please give him license to export diesel to Afghanistan.........Benazir was a wise lady!!!
It would actually be very surprising if Maulana doesn't accept PMLN offer and I have to change my long held views about him f as an opportunist politician only interested in lucrative portfolios.
@ZEE KHAN Typical liberal. You insult anyone who is a true muslim and stands up for the core beliefs of Islam.
A fish will not survive outside water so is Fazlur Rehman without power. He will join power just looking for right terms.
My advice to PMLN please keep distance from these types of the religious Fanatic people You can form the GOVT. easily .
This man keep reminding us how dirty politics can be in Pakistan? He join in each and every government for sake of people and Pakistan. He become first to join every new government and leave endangered governments.
“We are serious about the country. We don’t have desire for power. Coming to power is a responsibility,” said Rehman Clearly he acknowledges he is not fit for responsibility. So either withdraw from all parliamentarian positions or don't run for 2018 elections. And just dissolve your party!
emphasized textHow long this chief of JUI-F will fool the public of Pakistan in the name of Islam . He has played his role since last 3/4 decades and enjoyed all the perks as a SHINING-POLITICIAN ! What good he has done to the healing nation . He should retire from politics before he is kicked out by force. This old politician must GO ! Sooner he goes better for him.
Apparently throwing a tantrum gets you what you want.
May ALLAH help Pakistan ...?
