An anti-terrorism court (ATC) continued to hear final arguments in the Shahzeb Khan murder case on Wednesday.
The court heard the final arguments of Shaukat Zubaidi, the counsel for Shahrukh Jatoi, and put off the case till next hearing.
Zubaidi told the court that there were contradictions, variations and improvements in the statements recorded by the witnesses before the police and the court.
He pleaded that benefit of doubt be given to the suspects. He is likely to conclude his arguments on Thursday (today).
The judge, Ghulam Mustafa Memon, of ATC-III, is holding the trial following an apex court ruling to conclude the trial as soon as possible while taking into account all the legal aspects of the case.
The court is hearing the case against four suspects, Shahrukh Jatoi, Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, his younger brother Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur, and a house servant, Ghulam Murtaza Lashari.
They were charged with killing 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan on the night of December 24 after they argued over Lashari allegedly teasing Shahzeb’s sister.

@titan: This case has been pushed through ahead of THOUSANDS of others. Where's all the media coverage of the Hamza case, and of thousands of other killings? I would think that the Bhutto case was more appropriate for your phrase - don't you?
