Three men were arrested on Tuesday for the rape of a pregnant woman.
Six other suspects are yet to be arrested, police said.
Tatlay Aali police said the woman’s medico-legal examination had been conducted and that the report was awaited. Doctors, who treated the woman at the hospital, said her ultrasound report revealed that woman and the fetus were both out of danger now.
The complainant said that she was on her way home when nine men kidnapped her at gun point.
She said they beat her husband and threw him on the road. She said she was taken to a dera in the nearby Mangoki village, where the nine men, who she said were inebriated, raped her.
They later threw her on the road, from where some passers-by took her to the hospital. She said after she filed a complained with the police, the rapists called her husband and threatened him with dire consequences. She said they told him to withdraw the complaint.
